De STR-1-serie snelheidsregelaars regelen de rotatiesnelheid van monofasige, voltage-aanstuurbare motoren door de uitgangsspanning te variëren. Ze zijn uitgerust met autotransformator(en) en regelen de
snelheid handmatig in vijf stappen. De technologie biedt een gereguleerde uitgangsspanning met een perfecte sinusoïdale vorm. De controllers tot 7,5A zijn verkrijgbaar in een plastic behuizing, terwijl de modellen boven 7,5 A verkrijgbaar zijn in een metalen behuizing.
